I am an Assitant Coach for IPFW Women’s Basketball. This is my second season as a Mastodon, and this year I have taken on the role as our staff’s recruiting coordinator. Although recruiting is my main responsibility, I am also involved in player development and game preparation. I began at IPFW in June of 2007 after I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Being a native of Crown Point, Indiana, it was a dream come true for me to return to my home state and stay involved with the game I love.

During my career at UWGB, I was fortunate enough to be part of a team who won the Horizon League Championship all four of my years and finshed with a 102-23 overall record. In my senior year, we had the best season in school history going 29-4 (16-0 in conference) and made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament. I was a reserve guard, and I feel as though my biggest contributions to my team came in the form of leadership and work ethic.

As I mentioned above, I played my high school basketball in Indiana at Crown Point High School. I was a four-year letterwinner and a three-year All-Conference member for the Bulldogs. In my junior season, I was a member of the Indiana Junior All-Star team. And In my senior year, I was named Duneland Conference MVP, First Team All-State by Hoosier Basketball Magazine and ICGSA, and was also a McDonald’s All-American Nominee. I also participated in soccer and track.

My family is a basketball family, and I have been very lucky to have their unending support throughout my playing career and now in my coaching career. My parents, Cory and Jackie, are huge women’s basketball fans and even began their own website to promote Indiana girls’ basketball called Region Roundball Review. When they’re not in the stands, my Dad works as a Senior Supervisor for BP in their Whiting, Indiana refinery. My Mom has started her own web design business called Small Web Solutions. And my sister, Noelle, lives in Indianapolis and works for Miller White as a web developer.

I feel as though I have been very blessed in my life, and I am extremely excited to continue on the coaching path. I love learning new things about coaching and the game of basketball everyday. It’s been a great ride so far, and I look forward to all the triumphs and trials awaiting me in the future.
